We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for the app and use its features:
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication data (powered by Google Firebase Authentication).
Profile & Preferences: We collect your preferred name and app settings (such as your chosen voice persona, language, AI mode, and cognitive synthesis depth).
Voice Inputs and Transcripts: During active tutoring sessions, your audio input is processed in real-time. We securely store the text transcripts of your conversations to generate session summaries, quizzes, and to maintain your learning history.
User-Generated Content: Any feedback or support requests you submit through the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate the app, manage your account, and facilitate real-time interactive voice tutoring.
To Personalize Your Experience: To address you by your preferred name and tailor the AI's responses, tone, and teaching style based on your configurations.
To Enhance Learning: To generate post-session summaries, actionable topic tags, and quizzes based directly on your session transcripts.
To Communicate With You: To respond to your feedback, support inquiries, and provide important app updates.
3. How Your Information is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers (Processors): We share data with trusted third-party services that strictly help us operate the app:
Google Cloud / Firebase: Used for secure database hosting (Firestore) and user authentication.
Google Gemini API: Your voice and text inputs are sent securely to the Gemini API to generate the AI Tutor's real-time responses, summaries, and quizzes.
Community Feed (Explicit Opt-in): By default, all your sessions are private. If you actively choose to click "Publish to Community" on a specific session, the summary and transcript of that session will become publicly visible to other users.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. Your account data, settings, and transcripts are securely stored using Google Firestore, protected by strict database security rules. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Children's Privacy
We prioritize the safety of younger learners. While our app is an educational tool, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us so we can delete such information from our servers.
6. Your Rights and Data Control
Access and Update: You can review, update, or correct your profile information and preferences directly within the app's settings menu.
Data Deletion: You can delete individual saved sessions from your history at any time. If you wish to permanently delete your entire account and all associated data, please submit a request through the in-app Feedback menu.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, providing an in-app notice.
